Unfortunately the Parkingtons (Mrs Lady Bug, Mr Rocker, Lady Fairy Princess, & Mr Penguin) didn't make it to the Portsmouth Halloween Parade tonight. Kerris has a low-grade fever, and the rest of us were super tired. It was one of those nights last night. Kerris was up 2 times and Thayer 3-4 times. Then of course at 3am everyone was wide awake. Kerris was ready to get up for the day and Thayer was alternating yelling "down-tairs" and belting out "rock a bye baby".
BUT we were lucky enough to make it through trick-or-treating last night! By the time we got home Kerris was shivering beyond control but still insisted that she get to eat some chocolate. Thayer of course starts screaming "choc-at" too. And this is the first year since maybe 2005 that the mom and dad units actually dressed up too!
(Secretly, James' costume was my favorite. Especially when he was trying to maneuver the kids in the dark and the guitar would go off on it's own riff.)
We visited our friends Randy and Audrey. Their son Brisbane was batman.
