Thayer and the Mom Unit were solo again today. Miss Kerris was at school making beach pictures. We strolled around the hood and wound up at the playground.

In one week from tomorrow Thayer will be 19 months. Kerris was exactly 19 months when Thayer was born. Crazy. And in a blink of an eye Thayer is no longer a baby, he's a full blown little boy.

At 15 months Thayer started talking up a storm, 100+ words. By 16 months he was answering back and by almost 17 months he first said "no". At 17 1/2 months his first two word sentence was "dada button" pointing to James' shirt. At 17 3/4 months his first three word sentence was "DeeDee bob beeyoon". ( Thayer calls Kerris "DeeDee". Thayer was given a yellow balloon at a store and Kerris popped it. He's constantly reminding us that Kerris popped his balloon. Thayer is obsessed with balloons. The spherical obsessions started a while ago and began with balls. Now he loves balloons and clocks.) A few weeks ago Thayer started saying possessives like "mom's" cup. And in the last week he's switching back and forth from saying "DeeDee" and "Gay-is".

The gate on the stairs went down last month and Thayer's highchair went into the basement today. Last month he started an interest in the potty and likes to sit on it with his diaper on when Kerris is going. He'll tell us he pooped. Thayer is still tracking in the 100th percentile and is wearing size 8 shoes!!
Besides drawing, Thayer always asks someone to play with him. He's into the lego-like blocks and building houses. He loves flipping through books and spraying the watering hose outside. He loves his sandbox and playing with his little matchbox cars. He'll jump up on the stool in the bathroom and turn the faucet on and off 300 times. He is constantly throwing things. When he's outside it's fine, but when he throws his sippy cup at my head it's not fine. His new fascination is the bike. We're pretty sure he'll be riding before Kerris. He's definitely all boy. But still our little boy...
