Little Box Houses

We visited Barnes and Noble yesterday on our mission to find something to do for Kerris and the Mom Unit. In the childrens' section they had a little area set up for reading and playing. Kerris really enjoyed the "house" and found some monkeys inside. This gave me inspiration for our empty dryer box. Last night I decorated it and even put in a side window with a flower box...

Kerris is getting really good at climbing the stairs under parental supervision. We have a gate at the top of the stairs and seldom use the one at the bottom. When the front door is shut it's an open invition to climb the stairs. We were getting ready for nap time this morning and KP started climbing the stairs. I told her to sit and wait (as I collected things to bring upstairs) and she patiently sat on the stairs. Good little Beanlette.
We don't have much planned for the rest of the week. It's been rather uneventful. We're planning to travel to Maine for the weekend and return on Sunday afternoon for a little cookout at our friend's house.

In other news, James sold his car "Caroline" (the '06 Corolla) and is shopping for a used car. We're trying to save for our next house and since James isn't commuting anymore it just makes more sense.
