Happy Belated, Gail...

We had a great time in Maine this weekend. Here's a quick clip from when we started packing up to leave. Kerris gives Granna a little wave goodbye.

Kerris has been practicing putting things in and taking things out of things. Doesn't matter what it is; a brown plastic bag, a purse, a beach pail, her book basket, toy box, etc. She likes to carry her bags on her shoulders too, especially if she's put little items in there. It's great for when she empties out the tuperware cabinet because then I ask her if she can put them all back in and most of the items actually end up back...though sometimes I'll find a random lid in James' music room.

Her comprehension and communication is definitely maturing. While she still can't form real words she definitely has her Kerris-speak. And sign language is a godsend. Her cousin Abby just taught her to say apple this weekend. It's kind of drawn out, but she says it.
Over the weekend my sister Abby, aka Gail Peters, turned a whole 24. Happy belated, Auntie Gail!We visited Fort Foster in Kittery on Monday with the fam unit and then yesterday Kerris and I checked out another old fort in Odiorne State Park in Rye yesterday. The weather has been gorgeous and we're expecting a great day again. Perhaps a walk? A visit to the beach? Who knows...
