Summer to Winter and a Tiny Bit of Rain

It's flood central here again. We missed Lake Parkington so we're happy it's making a reappearance in our yard and basement. We have more water and waterfalls than we did a few weeks ago.

We geared up for Easter yesterday and Kerris colored eggs. Thayer ate stickers, gnawed on the wire egg dipper, and then proceeded to eat the cardboard egg holder.
Despite Kerris acting like a terrible two year old some days, things are going pretty well. Fun challenges! We are no longer going to ballet (though it goes until June) and Kerris has been refusing to go to bed, nap and stay asleep at night. She tilts her head back and says "NO" very defiantly. I guess it's the one thing she has control over. But she's been good about having quiet time in her room. I'm hoping she doesn't figure out that she can get out of bed herself...but I guess she can't open her door anyway. :)
Mister Happy has been signing "more" and "down". I need to be more persistent with "food" and "drink". He understands those words (and snack, juice, milk) but can't say them. He grunts. And sometimes Kerris decides to mimic Thayer.

We visited Newcastle Common on Sunday. It's not warm out anymore!

On Saturday we had fun at the Olsen's Easter Egg Hunt. Julia Holly is pulling Thayer in this picture. We arrived 45 minutes late (which is much better than 2 hours late last year) and missed the hunt but Kerris and James were still able to find 2 unopened eggs.
(Note the 6'3" man wearing bunny ears below)
Building a city on Saturday morning.
Mom's group went to the Green's house on Thursday. Thayer and Sylvie are having a really deep conversation.

Bath time at the Parkingtons has been modified a bit these days...
Kerris and Sylvie at the playground. Look at these skills! Kerris has mastered ladders and balancing! Funny how milestones can come and go without us noticing immediately. Thayer, on the other hand, can now spin! He's been going down stairs for almost two weeks now, backwards. We're still weary with him and the stairs. Although we can't prevent everything; Kerris fell off of the dining room chair twice this week! She's definitely an observer and has been thriving off TV shows and her magnetic girl lately. She surprised me a few days ago and just started counting in "panish". Thanks Dora!
Kerris and Thayer hanging with their friends.
At Grandma's house with Kate and Megan, testing out the bikes. Kerris can only brake at this point, she hasn't grasped the concept of pushing the pedals.
Here are a few videos.

Another video.

Our afternoon at Great Island Common on Sunday.

Crazy Thayer doing some spins and tiring himself out.
